Northeast Kingdom Aquatics, Inc. is an Internal Revenue Code (IRS) recognized Section 501(c)(3) non-profit youth swim based in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. The swim team trains September through February in Lyndonville, Vermont at the beautiful Lyndon State College pool.

The 2016/2017 season begins September 22, 2016.

Our Story:  Northeast Kingdom Aquatics, formerly known as the IRockets Swim Team, established itself as a non-profit organization in 2016, with the mission of continuing and growing youth swimming in Vermont’s rural northeast corner and supporting the growth of the sport in Vermont.  In 2013, the well-established and popular IRockets Swim Team lost its permanent swim home when IROC, the community recreation center in Derby, Vermont, ceased operations and permanently filled in the pools.

Determined to help their children and area youth swimmers remain involved in recreational and competitive swimming after IROC’s demise, three dedicated parent-coaches, Veronika Jedlovszky, Gwen Bailey-Rowe, and Ted Chitambar, moved the team to Lyndon State College.

In 2015, Brianna Paquette joined the coaching team, and helped team athletes achieve strong finishes in local, Regional and New England level swim meets during the 2015/16 season.

Near the end of the season, the team decided to undergo rebranding to support its goal of further growing youth swimming in the Northeast Kingdom–changing its name to Northeast Kingdom Aquatics and team colors to green and gold to reflect the colors of its new swim home.
